Life
This project is to create an A2 sized artwork about "Opposites, Parallels and Connections". The participants need to produce a body of work based on the ideas where one will be selected for exhibition at Birmingham City University.

Therefore, this work "Life" has been created. It is themed as relating to 'connections'. This painting is about the relationship of people. The butterfly represents the ‘soul, immortality, resurrection’ in ancient legend. But in here, butterflies have become the cover of the eyes. There are only a half of the wings. It means that this relationship has come to an end and cannot be salvaged. The person on the left stuck out the tongue, representing his pursuit and be initiated to indicate. His eyes were sealed by butterfly, he was blinded by love.
The right-sided person looks stiff, her eyes looking at different directions. It shows his hesitation in this relationship. The people without a face represent two sides of a person's personality and two sides of a relationship. There are many people we meet in life, yet few are able to maintain the relationship.
